Mubarak Shah Zuberi, Chairman, USA Chapter, has done a great service to the young generation of Pakistan by highlighting the achievements of Dr Sir Ziauddin Ahmad and his contribution to the cause of Muslmis' education in the Indian subcontinent.
It is unfortunate that the name of Dr Ziauddin is hardly mentioned in the electronic / print media or in the textbooks. Men of his calibre and genius need to be remembered so that the present day youth can emulate them and learn from their dedication, integrity and sense of mission.
The educational institutions in Pakistan are suffering from lack of dedicated persons both among the teaching staff and the administrators. This has led to the decay of the whole education system in our country. It is interesting to know that many generations ago Muslims in the subcontinent were able to produce men of such remarkable calibre as Dr Ziauddin Ahmad and today with much more resources and infrastructure the education sector is unable to attract the best from the society.
